Does Key Club Make Keys?

No, but we are the key to unlocking your potential for leadership and service! Key Club is an international organization of high school students doing good in their communities. It’s actually the world’s oldest and largest community service organization.

Since our founding in 2022, Epic's Key Club has aimed to improve the lives of our members, our school, and our communities through service and leadership.

When can I count hours?

Hours can be counted from May 1st to April 30th!
Are there limits on how I complete my hours?

Not really! You must have a minimum of 10 in-person volunteer hours (not virtual), but other than that, just make sure you aren't getting paid for the hours or doing them for a family member.
How often do I need to submit hours?

Just submit hours as you complete them! We do have recommended timelines for completing hours, but those are just guidelines! If you are on probation, you do have to meet regular hour goals.
Does attending meetings count as service hours?

Yes! You can enter service hours for however long the meeting was.
I'm a member of NJHS/NHS, StuCo, or another club, can I count those hours for Key Club?

Of course! We love when our members are active in our school's community. You can also count hours completed with Key Club towards your NJHS/NHS totals.
What is probation? How do I know if I'm on probation?

You are likely on probation if Epic paid your dues (meaning you were a member) in the previous year, but you did not serve 50 hours. You will receive an email if you are placed under probation and choose to be an official member. Honorary members cannot be placed on probation.
